Hi, I’m Heather Brandenburg, DPT, CMTPT—founder of Solace Physical Therapy.

I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2019. Since then, I’ve worked across a variety of clinical settings, gaining experience treating a wide range of conditions and individuals. Through that journey, I discovered my passion: helping active people get back to doing what they love—without being limited by pain.

My passion for this work is also deeply personal. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune joint disease at just 11 years old and spent much of my adolescence navigating injuries, pain, and recovery. As a teen, I underwent three reconstructive surgeries for hip dysplasia, and four years ago, I had a total hip replacement. These experiences shaped not only my understanding of the body, but also what it feels like to be a patient—frustrated, limited, and searching for answers. This gave me a unique perspective, allowing me to truly connect with and advocate for the people I treat.

I specialize in working with individuals dealing with both acute injuries and chronic pain, whether it stems from workouts, daily stress, or the physical demands of work and daily life. My approach blends hands-on treatment, targeted strengthening, and movement-based strategies to not only relieve symptoms but address the root cause.

My goal is simple: to help you move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in your body—so you can get back to the life and activities you love.

When I'm not at work, you'll often find me somewhere with my dog, working out, or enjoying a glass of wine with friends. I enjoy hiking and "glamping" and generally anything nature-related!
